The international conference „Corporate Social Responsibility and Durable Development”, organized by: Global Compact Network in Moldova, Eurasia Foundation, American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova and MOLDCELL as a general sponsor, took place on October 30th, 2009 in Chişinău.
Initiated with the view to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles within the business community, state authorities structures and civil society, this year conference was centred on the methods, by means of which the application of the CSR concepts contributes to the durable development of any company.
The Conference was attended by many international experts, including Minna Pajala-Hammar, corporate responsibility coordinator from TeliaSonera telecommunication group (main shareholder Moldcell company). Ms. Pajala-Hammar presented TeliaSonera practices, which, by means of technologies and innovative communication solutions, add value the consumers’ life on the one side, support the environment protection the other side. Her presentation about CSR, competition and innovation raised great interest of the attendees, being subject of some vivid discussions.
