We are part of the community we work in. We care about its’ problems and commit to make changes for the better. Our intention is to offer models of behavior in the society and we use all available resources for this… We believe that the best example for illustrating an idea is the personal example. The involvement of our employees proves the special commitment of our team for promoting CSR values. Strategic policies and procedures can not be applied unless they reflect internal values. We are proud of our corporate culture, for it is based on responsibility principles and viable values.
Moldcell company employees periodically participated at the fulfillment of numerous philanthropy and CSR project. Among them:
Green Day: This action is organized within Global Compact Moldova Network. In the spring of 2008, 35 Moldcell employees worked together with colleagues from other companies for planting trees in the “Valea Trandafirilor” park. In 2009, Green Day took place twice, in spring and in autumn in different green areas of Chisinau. The number of participant companies grew (from 11 to 16) and so did the number of Moldcell volunteers – almost 70.
Education for all: Four community events with the participation of company employees took place within this national project, aiming to enroll children from rural areas into pre-school quality services. In 2008, our colleagues contributed at the renovation of kindergartens from villages of Basarabeasca and Anenii Noi districts. In 2009, the event “Help him to grow-up through theatre” was organized at the kindergarten of Panasesti village, Straseni district, in order to promote the idea of free communication between parents and children. The pupils of the kindergarten and the children of Moldcell employees, helped by their parents, were taught to sew a puppet and a special theatre performance was presented to them. The row of community actions will continue with the event “We play and grow-up”
Help for people who have been affected by the floods: In August 2008, company volunteers distributed goods to people from Rezina district whose houses were seriously affected by the flood consequences. A group of Moldcell employees have personally handed out bedspreads, blankets, clothes, first necessity objects and hygienic products to more than 77 persons from 69 families residing in 7 villages. This way, the company employees display solidarity with the sufferers, willing to lessen the drastic effects of the disaster.
Moldcell volunteers’ group proves that changes for the better start with simple gestures of good will and responsibility.
