Tariffs for data transfer (Internet and MMS)

With GPRS Roaming you have the possibility to send and receive images, pictures, videos, and ring-back tones by means of multimedia messages (MMS), as well as to use the Internet not only within Moldcell network on the territory of Moldova, but also within the networks of its partners in GPRS Roaming. The usage of GPRS Roaming services does not require modification of telephone settings. The services will be activated basing on the GPRS settings usual for Moldcell network. The list of countries and foreign operators, with whom Moldcell has signed GPRS Roaming Agreements, grows continuously. That is why each time you intend to go abroad we recommend you to check the list of partners in order to get the information about GPRS Roaming services offered.

Moldcell subscribers with activated GPRS service have a possibility to send and receive images, video files, ring tones via MMS and use mobile Internet service not only in the network, within the Republic of Moldova, but also in the networks of GPRS Roaming partners.

It is not necessary to modify the settings of the phone to use GPRS Roaming services. They will be activated on the basis of standard GPRS, MMS and mobile Internet settings for Moldcell network.

Being in Roaming, subscribers will be able to send and receive MMS messages from other subscribers.

Service usage conditions:

  • The usage of GPRS Roaming services doesn’t require new settings for your mobile phone. The phone should use Moldcell GPRS/MMS settings in Roaming. The subscriber should check if roaming and GPRS are active before departure. 
  • The roaming partner will charge MMS messages received in Roaming as GPRS roaming traffic based on the roaming partner's tariffs. 
  • MMS messages sent in Roaming will be charged by Moldcell as normal MMS messages according to Moldcell tariff and by the Roaming partner as GPRS Roaming traffic based on the Roaming partner's tariffs. 
  • Subscribers may deactivate MMS reception in roaming from their mobile phones. Subscribers can also check their phone guides in order to restrict MMS usage in roaming. 
  • To deactivate GPRS (including MMS), send an SMS to the short number 434.

Roaming voice and data services are activated simultaneously. Moldcell recommends you to consult the prices for Roaming services before using them.

The packages with minutes are available for incoming and outgoing voice calls, except for calls to the satellite networks. Outgoing calls will be charged per minute, incoming calls in Roaming – per second. The first charging interval for the session of mobile Internet is 50 kB, the following interval is 10 kB. To send an SMS, the subscriber supplementary pays the price of an SMS according to Moldcell tariffs. When the services included in the package expire, you will have a possibility to activate a new package or benefit from the standard tariff for the respective service.
